evac™ series

go-bag thermo-cap sling

Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in a personnel carrier, a pilot in a cockpit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear, and all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. This is the environment for which our Evac™ line of sling-packs has been developed. Slim shaped, for fast maneuvering in crowds, they can be stored in vehicles/lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable to wear. The main padded strap is cocked at either the right or left lower corner, so the pad aligns ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. There is no slack, or gapping away from the body as is typical with similar single shoulder packs. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. This means the user can go from wearing the pack on his back, to driving a vehicle with it on his chest in just a few seconds. One-strap also makes shouldering a long-gun natural - unlike a regular backpack.

A good start

I have the plan B bag for a few months now and some improvements can be made in the design of the bag IMO. 1st, why does the bag not have quick release shoulder straps? Because the bag is narrow it is difficult to put on both shoulders into the straps, and I am a lean /slim person. Getting the bag off can be just as difficult as putting it on, quick release straps would be helpful (especially since some of these bags seem tactical in design based on the advertising pictures). 2nd, the main center strap joint to bag itself is a weak point. Instead of the straps being connected to the bag is attached to a patch of material that is then attached to the bag. If this 2 things were fixed, I would give the bag 5 stars.

Hight quality and comfy

This bag is really good for sport and urban environment, I personally used a lot when I bike or run. You just have to lock it or if you doesn't it might come off if you're bumping on stuff.

Plan B 17

Needs more mesh pockets especially on the lower front pocket and also key holder. It also need better water holder on the side,Another things is the clam shell on the front needs at least something a mesh to place some small things. The zipper needs to upgrade with YKK and at least place a pull ins instead of paracord. [Note by Customer Service] The bag does come with YKK zippers.

Finally, a solution for EDC essentials in a sleek, practical/tactical design

After several months of researching available options from many manufacturers, I chose this sling pack. My process is methodical. I chose this product because I felt it offered the best features with - significantly - a design that would last for many years. It appears I made the right decision because the Plan B-17 is solid. After going from several hip holsters, to various tactical vests, this Hazard 4 product has provided a single solution. Compartments are practical, design is sleek. I still haven't maximized all the volume capacity; looking forward to that. I use this product everyday for everything. It looks tactical; that's probably why I like it so much. Yes, I get weird looks sometimes. But mostly I'm complimented by like-minded people who see it and want it. In my humble opinion, after having used it for a while, it is the best practical, solution for EDC first aid, accessory cabling, range-day bag, etc. Can't help but bring it everywhere and know that I haven't left anything behind. Just got back from a 3-day business trip. This sling pack qualifies as a secondary carry-on; that is, in addition to your carry-on; one you will not be charged for. I was concerned about this until I got on the plane and not a single question. So for you travelers, this product is serious solution for instant accessibility; no need to stand up and go to the overhead bins to access your carry-on.

Excellent high quality bag!

I have purchased quite a few different bags from Hazard 4 and each was superb quality. What do I mean by superb? Well to start, the material is 1000 Cordura and is thick, but pliable. Not like other bags that are thick like canvas; the Cordura can be bent and folded with ease. All of the stitching is top-notch. A lot of double-stitching throughout and the "high-stress" points have added pieces of material sewn in to make these points more durable. The zippers are great; don't know if they are ykk for sure as there are no markings on the zippers I could find. That being said, I've found that if you don't want to use the "pull tab" to unzip a compartment, you can just pull the pieces along the edges and the zipper will unzip as you pull. I haven't had a zipper stick or come apart at all; very secure. I like that there are security straps every wear so you don't have to worry about anything falling out. I love that it uses a cross-body single strap that allows the pack to fit on your back like a backpack but leaves one shoulder free for shouldering a rifle. Don't have to worry about a strap getting in the way. Also makes it easy to swing the whole pack down and around in front of you so you can access it without having to take it off. Whatever factory in China these are made at must have better than usual quality control and materials. I have found that not everything made in China is inferior quality; it depends on which factory they are made and these packs must be made in a good one. Everything I've purchased from Hazard 4 was excellent and this is why I continue to buy their products. The prices are a little higher than I'd like but the quality does justify the price in my opinion. Still, wish there were more products that were ATACS camo. Seems ATACS was all the rage when it first came out but now it is getting harder to find ATACS products. Hazard 4 seems to have the most and I've pretty much bought every style they have that are offered in ATACS before they stop offering it.
