softshell/breathable contractor cap

A classic ball-cap pattern version of the Privateer™. Has side loop fastener strips/light-loops. Also has our exclusive retainer lanyard which can be clipped to one’s collar and can be removed in seconds. This edition adds a long saught after feature - softshell fabric. This means a water-shedding cap suitable for rainy or snowy conditions* which still allows breathability to keep your head from heating up and staying sweaty. This is especially important in cold environments where that sweat will quickly turn cold when your physical activity slows down, and threaten your ability to warm up aside from general discomfort. This unique combination of progressive features makes it a one-of-a-kind.

*Because of the high breathability of the cap, it is not 100% waterproof. It is highly water resistant.

Perfect on its own, but . . .

The one complaint that I have is that the hook & loop patches on the sides are not stitched along the top and bottom, and therefor are not firmly attached to the side of the cap. When I tried to use the Nightcrawler flashlight mount with this hat, even with a AAA flashlight, the flashlight leans off the hat at an angle, making the beam point directly at the visor of the cap and causing the flashlight to (for lack of a better word) flap around while walking or even abruptly moving my head.
