Plan-B™ '17

evac™ series

go-bag thermo-cap sling

Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in a personnel carrier, a pilot in a cockpit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear, and all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. This is the environment for which our Evac™ line of sling-packs has been developed. Slim shaped, for fast maneuvering in crowds, they can be stored in vehicles/lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable to wear. The main padded strap is cocked at either the right or left lower corner, so the pad aligns ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. There is no slack, or gapping away from the body as is typical with similar single shoulder packs. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. This means the user can go from wearing the pack on his back, to driving a vehicle with it on his chest in just a few seconds. One-strap also makes shouldering a long-gun natural - unlike a regular backpack.

Excellent high quality bag!Review by Eric
I have purchased quite a few different bags from Hazard 4 and each was superb quality. What do I mean by superb? Well to start, the material is 1000 Cordura and is thick, but pliable. Not like other bags that are thick like canvas; the Cordura can be bent and folded with ease. All of the stitching is top-notch. A lot of double-stitching throughout and the "high-stress" points have added pieces of material sewn in to make these points more durable. The zippers are great; don't know if they are ykk for sure as there are no markings on the zippers I could find. That being said, I've found that if you don't want to use the "pull tab" to unzip a compartment, you can just pull the pieces along the edges and the zipper will unzip as you pull. I haven't had a zipper stick or come apart at all; very secure. I like that there are security straps every wear so you don't have to worry about anything falling out. I love that it uses a cross-body single strap that allows the pack to fit on your back like a backpack but leaves one shoulder free for shouldering a rifle. Don't have to worry about a strap getting in the way. Also makes it easy to swing the whole pack down and around in front of you so you can access it without having to take it off. Whatever factory in China these are made at must have better than usual quality control and materials. I have found that not everything made in China is inferior quality; it depends on which factory they are made and these packs must be made in a good one. Everything I've purchased from Hazard 4 was excellent and this is why I continue to buy their products. The prices are a little higher than I'd like but the quality does justify the price in my opinion. Still, wish there were more products that were ATACS camo. Seems ATACS was all the rage when it first came out but now it is getting harder to find ATACS products. Hazard 4 seems to have the most and I've pretty much bought every style they have that are offered in ATACS before they stop offering it. (Posted on 3/11/2018)
Best EDC Ever!Review by DrB
Quickest way to acquire my CCW due to the hefty Sling Design. Also withstands all the punishment that comes with an EDC. I own many Hazard 4 Items, but this is by far my favorite. Ok its actually my favorite EDC but my very favorite pack is my OVERWATCH because all the various dimensions it has. (Posted on 10/26/2017)
Looks awesome!Review by Dustin
I just got this bag yesterday, so I haven't been able to put it through its paces. Bag looks great and the quality is unsurpassed! The bag is quite narrow so don't expect to carry anything super large. It fits in my 2013 Jeep easily and the sling setup is very comfortable. One complaint about the sling is the bottom attachment point for the retention strap. It digs into my side something awful! Hazard 4, you might look into having a padded attachment point for the retention strap similar to that of the Freelance.
All in all this looks like it's going to be an awesome bag! I own a Clerk, Freelance and now the Plan B17. Looks like the B17 is shaping up to be my favorite.
I'll be posting a more in depth review with pictures on my Instagram review page texasprepreview. Should be posted soon. (Posted on 5/9/2017)

What is the difference between the Plan-B™ and Plan-B™ '17?
The Plan-B 17' features an external hardshell pocket, laser-cut MOLLE on the lower exterior pocket, and our new patented locking buckle.

The Plan-B Classic remains the look of the original design with soft exterior pockets. The classic is slightly cheaper than the 17' version.

Do you offer vertical padded dividers (top to bottom) or just the side-to-side horizontal ones? To keep upper and lower from banging together.
The only padded dividers we offer that officially fit the Plan-B '17 are Evac Padded Dividers. They are meant to fit horizontally. However, if you needed longer dividers for vertical use, you can velcro 2 dividers together. The ones that come with the Plan-B are a little too short (you could still try to make it work though).

Alternatively, you could purchase our Daypack Padded Divider. They'll be too long to fit in the Plan-B if you velcro them together unless they overlap a little. Hope this helps!
