evac™ series

carbine sling pack

This version of the Evac™ sling pack was by popular demand specifically designed to accommodate the AR-15/M16 family of rifles in their taken-down state, but suits anyone who needs the extra room. By splitting the upper and lower of the rifle and nesting the parts between the included padded divider, shooters can transport their carbine in a relatively small package. Additional external pockets are designed to carry magazines, cleaning kit, extra parts and everything you need for a day shooting in the desert, transporting your work gun, or just hauling around urban gear.

ATACS rocks!Review by Eric
I have to admit that I am an ATACs junky and it seems ATACS patterned gear is getting harder and harder to find. That's why I was psyched when I found the "Takedown" in ATACS. I love this bag as it works for all of my Keltec bullpups. Since they are already shorter than normal rifles, they fit perfectly in this bag. Love the extra pockets and the overbuilt buckles and zippers. I appreciate the sling design as it is a breeze to get it from "on your back" to "in your front" for easy access just by rotating the bag. I highly recommend this bag. (Posted on 7/4/2018)
Great Bag for an AR PistolReview by Lasko
I first ran across these bags at a local retailer. I was building two 300 Blackout pistols at the time and was looking for a bag that would hold them and not be too bulky or have a bunch of left over space. The Takedown is just the ticket. My 26.5" BO pistol fits perfectly with a 20 round mag. Three thirty round mags fit well in the middle outside pocket. IFAK and a few "get home" essentials fill up the other pockets and I have a great bag for my truck gun. It is low profile enough that nobody pays it any attention and easy to carry. I do wish the Greyman would have been out when I was initially looking but I have no complaints. Durable and functional without frivolous whistles and bells. (Posted on 12/20/2017)
Great AR Bag.Review by Chilango
This bag is almost perfectly made for it pourpose. The Molle system on it allows to expand it to many needs and situations. The main compartment is as nearly flawlessly designed as you can possible get. My only problem is it needs more padding support on the ends of the sling bag were my broke down rifle upper meats the edges of the bag. That sertain edges may be wore out from rubbing of the bolt carrier charging handle end and muzzle break/bird cage end if used constantly (Posted on 1/30/2017)
TakedownReview by BEL
Good bugout bag for your carbine or SBR. Comfortable and secure when wearing for long periods of time. (Posted on 12/27/2016)
Excellent all-rounder! Review by Jeff
I originally bought my Evac-Takedown to use as a "get home bag." I felt that it's dimensions would provide more than adequate room for the essentials in that scenario; but not be so large that I wouldn't want to bring it with me (in my vehicle) everywhere I go.

After having received it, I realized that I might just have to buy a second one! It's comfortable, the ergonomics are phenomenal. The removable partition (for keeping your upper and lower receivers from banging together) is very high quality; as is the bag itself! The storage volume (even with a taken down AR-15 inside) is more than enough for my wants; AND the Molle webbing being three rows wide accommodates many different pouches perfectly (I have since added a comprehensive IFAK to my Takedown).

All-in-all I am extremely satisfied with this bag! I bought it with a specific purpose in mind, but now I can imagine many more!

To anyone on the fence about buying one: If you want something to pack multiple days worth of supplies, I would have to tell you to go a little bigger; but for a day hike, trip to the range, or just to keep a moderate kit in the trunk of your car, you can't lose with the Hazard 4 Evac-Takedown! Excellent Pack.Review by Malibu
I had been looking for a long, long time for just the right pack for my Leader/AAA carbine and the instant I saw this pack I knew it was the perfect one. I was absolutely 100% right. This is a great pack, my carbine fits in exactly right (broken down) and is held secure by the internal fastening straps. The pouches allow me to carry ammo, mags and accessories (sling/cleaning kit/suppressor) and best of all when its all squared away it doesn't even look like a gun case! Which I think maybe was the idea behind the design? Carries well both by handles and sling. If they made this same pack in a model about 20 inches long, I'd by it in a flash for an SBR. I did mark it down a little on price as it is quite expensive but it is a great pack and it is worth the expense. (Posted on 6/24/2016)
Possibly the most well designed pack i have ever come acrossReview by jeremy
I bought the coyote pack which is the 1000D cordura for my archery equipment. bought it new when i was on a holiday from ehobbies in hong kong. even though the bag was newly wrapped in a plastic bag, the stabilizer strap was missing and i had to buy one from the shop. i would advice potential buyers of this bag to ensure the strap is there.

this amazing looking bag is long enough and spacious to fit in a 25" riser, a pair of long limbs, a full side quiver, a full 65cm fivics automatic bow stand.

with 3 pockets up front i got enough space to store spare strings, arm guard, bow square, serving tools and tuning tools. I expanded the side with a bottle molle holder and i slot in an archery tub for the arrows and stabilizers. the amount of molle options allowed me to expand at the sides with molle pouches.

bag is secure, easy to carry and comfortable to walk around. doesnt flop around when i am climbing a few flight of stairs and the broad shoulder straps helps in spreading the load around. definitely cooler and easily move my gear from place to place. water proofing was good as i was caught out once and nothing inside got wet.

love this bag even though its on a mid-high end side. but you get what you paid for. it got looks, comfort and good enough space for every thing i want to carry with me.

i will definitely want to buy another. keeping my fingers cross for a clearance colour. keep it up hazard4. (Posted on 5/30/2016)

Great pack. recently used it to carry a few items as a carry on bag. Plenty of space necessities. Lots of Molle webbing to expand on. The only thing that kind of bugged me is adjusting the sling. Once you get it, you're squared away from there (Posted on 1/3/2013)

What are the dimensions of the Velcro panel? Thanks.
The velcro panel on the front 2nd pocket is 3 1/4" x 8"

Will this fit an ar10 upper w/ a 20" barrel & Noveske pig if the rifle is broken down ?
No. Takedown can only fit up to 16" AR15 Upper.
Our Overwatch backpack will fit AR10 Upper with your barrel though.

Will this fit the Sig MCX 5.56 16" barrel model with the stock folded?
For reference the internal dimensions of the Takedown are ~27.3" L x 6.3" W x 5" D (69 x 16 x 13 cm). You should be ok with the length but based on the dimensions we've found online, it looks like if you keep the magazine in, the overall height of the rifle becomes ~9.5 - 10.5" which would make it too tall for the Takedown.

I have a kel-tec su16 I'm looking for a bag for. It's similar to the sub2k except the grip folds under and it's 223/5.56 Cal. Will it fit?
Yes, it'll definitely fit. It will fit even when it’s open and probably mostly fit in the main pack section when it’s folded. You may need to just unroll the upper sleeve one or two turns to get it to fit. Even with optics and probably with a full 30rd mag inserted (the mag might be right)

Is the The 500D lighter than the 1000D? If yes, by how much?
Yes, 500D fabric is lighter than 1000D.
Both black and coyote versions use 1000D Cordura.
Only the camo versions use 500D.
The difference in weight is ~ 5-6 oz.

Is there a raincover available or one that you would recommend? Would love to see that available with different options (i.e., multicam, woodland etc
At the moment we don’t have rain covers available, but we will pass your comments to our design/development department.

Thank you.

I have a Kriss Vector SBR with an Eotech holosight and magnifier. I am not worried about the length, but will it fit height wise in the Takedown?
We would need to know the size of your Kriss Vector SBR. However, the internal compartment size is 27.3" L x 7.9" W x 5" D (69 x 20 x 13 cm).

What is the difference between the Cordura 1000D and 500D?
The 1000D just has more fibers woven in (the 'D' or "denier" referring to the thickness of a fabric). However, the difference is very minimal and the 500D is still just as good/strong as the 1000D. Our camo patterns are only offered in 500D due to their availability.
