HWD - Arid GMT

titanium tritium dive-watches

Hazard 4® watch hands & indicators glow continuously (night or day,) powered by an unusual, government-regulated technology that combines hydrogen-3 gas (tritium/H3), glass tubes, and phosphors into self-contained mini-lamps (expertly Swiss-made in many colors.) Tritium bulbs don't charge by battery, sun, or flashlight, unlike other watches using simple luminescent paint or battery-run film. They don't fade overnight like those paints, and require no button pushing, or battery to exhaust. They are also feather-light. Tritium lights are usually used only for critical applications like military compasses, and night-sights; we nevertheless source them, since our watches are used by those for whom timing can determine survival/success or catastrophe.

The GMT models include a daylight ring plus an additional hand for tracking a second time zone.

Is the user replace the battery or does it need to be done by a service tech??? Thanx
A:
A battery replacement would have to be handled by your local watch shop, however, we do suggest fully vetting any store you visit to avoid any unnecessary damage or services performed on your watch. If the watch needs a significant repair, contact us directly and we will arrange for a repair as there are many pieces within the watch (such as the tritium vials) that standard watch personnel are not trained in dealing with.

I already have this watch in black but was wanted to order that arid FDE looking rubber replacement watch band and wondering if you band that color?
A:
Hello. The color might look slightly different in photos but we do sell the brown rubber straps here: https://www.hazard4.com/nautical.html
